The driver is present in the Maverick kernels because they are >=2.6.33 and the
driver made it into Linus's kernel here.

Adobe is on 6-12+ month release cycles for fixes like these. I wouldn't
be surprised if this bug was fixed a year ago and is in the next major
release of flash.
I also wouldn't be surprised if 10 other bugs have been added in the
next release. :(

It doesn't sound like they are interested in the issue upstream right
now. So, unless someone here is intrigued enough to look into it with
me, I will just take the hit and

OK, my workaround got me as far as the boot screen for the iso, but as
soon as a choose an action it locks up and starts spewing the above
errors into kern.log again.
So, it isn't the uuid option specifically, but that does trigger it
sooner.

ruby code and made it executable. I do not know what adverse side-effects it
will have, but it works for now.

My "apt-get upgrade" from hardy to intrepid triggered the scrollkeeper
errors. "apt-get dist-upgrade" did not touch scrollkeeper. However,
ubuntu-desktop was kept back and "apt-get install ubuntu-desktop"
removed scrollkeeper and installed rarian-compat. I also ran "apt-get
install --reinstall ub
