Confirmed. I get this in /var/log/messages when it crashes:

I'm running 10.10 desktop and installed Unity to see what it's like.

Yeah, I marked two as duplicate of 79 before I realised 554432

LAN does not function with Acer
Solved for me too. I noticed I was missing my /etc/network/interfaces
file, so I restored it, changed back to the latest version of upstart
and confirmed it's all working correctly.
