I truly do not understand why this is even a debate. The simple fact is
that either 20.04 is or is not an LTS release. If you are telling people
that you are going to support it for 5 years, then that means being able
to provide security updates to them as well as allowing them to use
hardware

In any event, it is fixed sort of but still a bug. I'll explain.
I make a folder (Test) and I make 3 subfolders (Subtest1, 2, 3) in it.
I rename parent folder Test to Tester.
Tester shows up as a folder in evolution. The 3

but nothing remotely as bad as what it used to be. And it has a
workaround to it now so the importance can be dropped down to low or
whatever.
