1. Created a PDF file: touch /tmp/my.pdf
2. Remove writtable flag: chmod a-w /tmp/my.pdf
3. Open a .svg with inkscape
4. File/Save as...
5. Choose PDF format, and /tmp/my.pdf
6. Validate the PDF dialog
