This regression is not only in Ubuntu. I'm running Archlinux - and for me - the
regression takes also part in the Archkernel 2.6.38.x and the Liquorix Kernel
2.6.38.x.
The wakeups per second raise up to 1297/second, mostly via ehci_hcd:usb1...
ehci_hcd:usbx, brcm80211 and ahci interrupts, keyboa
For me it failed too, on an Eee PC 1000H with UNR.
For nearly ten minutes, the installation subwindow was only blinking, like it
wanted to tell, that something is wrong. The time was to long in my eyes, so I
pressed STRG-C, so that the update could go on like it should.

nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in gconf_client_remove_dir
After running
dmesg | grep uvesafb
I got a complaint about v86d, so with
sudo apt-get install v86d
I installed the missing file, voila - it works.
The hint came from Hypervisor from the ubuntuforums.org, he had the same
problem. So the solution can set to solved, but I don't know, how it

Well, now I've been on http://www.pilot-link.org, where I downloaded the

And - yes, inside is the 60-libpisock.rules, that is missing in the
.deb-file of pilot-link.

Sordna,
could you please tell us, in which directory the file 60-libpisock.rules
can be found, so that we also have the chance to copy it to
/etc/udev/rules.d/ and use that workaround?
Thanks,
Karl

Me to,
the bug doesn't let me sync my Sony Clie PEG N-770 or my Palm m505. A
solution of that bug would be very, very nice.
