I am using USB wired keyboard and mouse. The only thing that is perhaps
atypical about it is that I am using the HP port replicator (I don't

default of grub), I selected "Previous Linux Versions" and then
3.2.0-24. Sound worked at again, and I absent-mindedly proceeded to

the contents of the window were not aligned and the "x" button on the
window frame was not visible. It seems like the contents were shifted to
the left, or the window frame/border was shifted to the right
