Hi all,

I'm on Acer 4741 laptop. I multiboot and I've problem with all the
distro I have on this computer (e.g. Slackware 3.2.29 kernel, Ubuntu
3.2.0-29-generic-pae kernel). This has been like this for about 2yrs
already.

I applied the patch given above with minor adjustment to one of the
function name (from ACPI_EC_DELAY to ec_delay) and it seems to work fine
as of this post. Now, I'm stuck with this 'patch' work until this is
included in the main kernel, which seems to be bleak given the fact that
this issue is atleast 2yrs old already.

My question now is how and from where do we get this patch for every
kernel release? Luca, you have been posting diffs for several kernels.
How do you do that?
