My Lenovo X120e randomly crashes. The computer simply becomes non-
responsive. Everything on the screen freezes: mouse does not move, can
not switch to TTYs ect... If sound is playing sometimes loops last
second or two of sound a couple of times before stopping.

I'm getting the same behavior on my X120e regardless of whether or not
I'm running Unity or Gnome without effects. It just happened to me and a
few seconds before the crash I got what appeared to be a band of
interlaced images of what might have been miniature images of my screen
(although I'm not
I can give you a conclusive answer with regards to 11.04 when I break it
but my 10.10 install with a custom-rolled ALSA install, which also
suffered this particular grievance, did break the recording as well.

@David Henningsson: I don't believe our computers have the same
southbridge, though. My understanding is that the E-350 processors were
rolled out with Hudson D1 southbridges which would have been different
from what was used with Neo processors found in X100e's.
That being said, I will wait until
I have a Lenovo X120e and I'm also seeing this behavior! Machine is also
an AMD system running a Radeon graphics card (in this case a 6310).
Instability when running both the open source driver and AMD's Catalyst
driver.
