I open Gedit, enter "Hello world", select print through the menu "File >
Print". In the print dialog I select "Print to File" (output format
"pdf") and click the "Print" button. The attached screenshot shows the
result. The number after "Rendering page" is counting rapidly upwards.
After 10 seconds
I open Gedit, enter "Hello world" and select the print preview through
the menu "File > Print Preview". The attachment shows the result, no
preview but only a gray area.

I have a similar problem on Ubuntu 8.10. I open Gedit, enter "Hello
world". The print preview should show the Text entered, but the field
where the white paper with the text should appear remains gray.
If I try to print (File > Print... > Print to File > Print) a yellow bar
appears above the edit
I confirm that this bug has not been fixed in Ubuntu 8.10.

I confirm this behavior on intrepid (Ubuntu 8.10). When I open the

Playing with the settings of my wireless router, I found that no

I installed the PPA test package, but the problem to connect with WPA-

"Support for Atheros 802.11 wireless LAN cards" installed with linux-

It does not only affect Dell laptops, I experience it on a Thinkpad T42
too.

This is also true for gutsy after a clean install of the "eclipse"
package (with "sudo apt-get install eclipse"). The message occurs (after
starting eclipse in the console) with the default VM /usr/lib/jvm/java-
gcj and with /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun (after modifying
/etc/eclipse/java_home).
