Okay, I'm finally looking into the remaining sync issues and anybody
experiencing problems should watch this upstream bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=535279
Preliminary investigation shows that lock files are not being handled
correctly at all. Thanks for all of your reports and
qo: Good detective work. client-id is supposed to be a GUID identifying
the system that owns the lock on the sync server. The fact that yours
is empty could be a problem, as (maybe) your system keeps getting
confused that when it sets a lock, it looks like it was made by a
*different* system
This is fixed in trunk and the 0.10.x branch, and I'll make an 0.10.2
release soon, which will hopefully make its way into Hardy.
In the mean time, if you are affected by this, manually mount your
desired share, and then use Tomboy's Local Folder sync service and
point to the place you mounted
@David: It shouldn't happen at the default note size. If you make a
very thin note, it will expand when searching inside the note, but it
will not get nearly as wide as before.

This is a duplicate of upstream bug #303902. Not sure how to indicate

I'd like to second support for wdfs, specifically. When wdfs is
installed, Tomboy 0.7.3 allows you to specify a WebDAV share to use for
synchronizing your notes. Since this feature will be available in
Gutsy, it would be awesome if there was an Ubuntu package for wdfs in
Gutsy, too.

I was having the same problem, running with `gdmflexiserver -n -l`.
I removed Network Manager from the GNOME Session for that user, and the
problem went away.
Details:
Ubuntu 7.04 running on an older Pentium 4 desktop
Steps to reproduce (for me):
0. Logged in as main admin user sandy.
1.
Of course I meant that I removed Network Manager from the GNOME Session
for user test1 in the above example.

Well, I spoke to soon... it still crashes sometimes.
Crashes every time:
1. Log in as test1 in an XNest session.
2. Start Tomboy.
3. Switch desktops in the main X Session before Tomboy appears in GNOME Panel.
4. Wait a bit (for Tomboy to start up, presumably).
5. Crash!
