During the upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 close to end when most packages had
been installed but before the system reboot the upgrade failed and
recommended opening a bug and sending the upgrade logs.

ok I've done the steps for the GCC issue, is there is way to force
upgrade-manager to install 8.04, it now thinks that 8.04 is installed
and wont take any further action.
