was puzzled to find a lot of data missing - crucially docker container

Testing on command line I noticed I didn't even get a version output

Sam, linux-image-virtual-gkeop-5.0 has been testing in the GKE cloud on
baremetal and virtual instances. This package does not need to consume
resources in the metal labs. I would prefer it not be tested in any of
the MAAS clouds.

Here is the problem.
Fanatic test-local-docker, creates a local docker container and imports
local DNS via systemd-resolv.conf , it tries to install "Ping" and
can't do that because of our firewall, well... the firewall in the lab.
It's blocking access to ports.ubuntu.com..

explain why you are running dist-upgrade , (step6). You should not need
to do that. Steps 6 and 7 should be eliminated completely.
