For some reason right now it all works just fine, both Vlc and Skype
icons. I installed Apache2 package, mySql both server and client and
Mysql administrator and Query Browse, and php5 and php5-xdebug. I also
installed Kompozer and updated Netbeans and that is pretty much it.
After restarting the
Restarted and the bug is back. No changes whatsoever to the system.

I notice that now Vlc player icon is also a dot, a small 1px orange dot.
it worked just fine yesterday. Should I report another bug or it's

Apparently after a system restart all is OK. In the previous session the
gnome panel crashed and restarted. Maybe that had something to do with
