Same here, in Ubuntu 22.04: extremely poor image quality, with vertical
lines.
If I lower the resolution in Cheese, the image is normal.

I can confirm that this bug is not limited to computers with Nvidia

I got this bug in Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit (Unity). For instance, after this

Ross Lagerwall's fix works for me too (Ubuntu 13.04 64 bit - using
raring-proposed repository to update gvfs, gvfs-fuse, gvfs-common, gvfs-
daemons, gvfs-bin, gvfs-libs and gvfs-backends to version

I copied over LAN (from a Windows PC to a Ubuntu PC) around 40GB of

Does anyone reproduce the issue on raring?
Yes, me. See comments #108 and #112.

Title:
nautilus hangs copying large directories from a samba
I just tried the workaround of manually setting the MTU size.
Ubuntu 13.04 64 bit (up to date; no PPA used).
My test consist in copying my photo archive (average file size 1,5 MB)
from a samba share.
With MTU left on Automatic, the copy hangs sometimes after a few tens
of files, other times
After searching for a solution, I think that I do not have this bug. I
probably have Bug #1075923 nautilus hangs copying large directories
from a samba share.

I tried today with 3.8.0-14. I tried to copy 1,2 GB of jpeg image files
(1,5MB average size of the file) from a Windows share (using Nautilus).
The transfer froze at 719,1MB. With previous 3.8.0-xx kernels, it
usually would froze much sooner (frequently under 100MB, never much
above 200MB).
I did
I can confirm, not fixed yet.
