I changed to debian testing & KDE, until KDE 4.3 the "sudo alsa force-
reload"-methode worked for me, but since I moved to KDE 4.4 (and
gstreamer as phonon-backend, xine isn't working anymore) the Multi Track
Internal Clock is stuck at 16000. Now I have to reboot to fix this
problem. Come on guys,
After resuming from "suspend to RAM" I have the same problem, "sudo alsa
force-reload" is helping. Two years since first report..FIX IT!

I did a system upgrade, now my display is broken. But the kernel-thing
was the right hint: Grub loaded a very old kernel (2.6.28 or something),
although 2.6.31.11 was installed. I must have made a mistake when grub
wanted to update the menu.lst. Now I did that manually, /dev/snd now has
more files
