Annother theory: the snap stores profiles in $HOME/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla. Probably until 21.10 and since they changed to ff snap first time this was a symlink to $HOME/.mozilla. Now the install of the new ff snap in 22.04 replaced this symlink by a phsyical directory. So it had no

Ran into this too. I could resolve it by deleting the firefox snap folder as descibed above and afterwarts start firefox again. Thus this was on a plain install of lubuntu 21.10 that never had any firefox packages installed except from the ones shipped with 21.10. Probably the issue is more
