Kernel used in Ubuntu 10.10 does not recognize external USB storage devices,
both installation CDs and installed system.
Previous versions (9.10 and 10.04) worked perfectly.

Last tested working kernel: 2.6.32-25
Just to clarify symptoms: external USB storage devices are not recognized, i.e.
no entries for them appear in /dev.
