Volume is muted from 0% to 34%, unmutes at 35% and is very loud already at 40%.

Using Karmic Beta I get freezes and kernel Oops pretty frequently (>20
times/day).
NetworkManager does not write DNS information to /etc/resolv.conf in 50% of
attempts.
ModemManager has obscene timeouts set for ZTE modems before connecting, and
tries to connect to interfaces that have nothing

When installing VLC on Kubuntu 9.10, it depends on libnotify, which in
turn recommends notification-daemon. The latter depends on lots of GNOME
packages.
Result: you get half a GNOME environment after installing a Qt app in
KDE, and this is nonsense.

Ok, did it twice:
1. The rule is located in file /etc/udev/rules.d/ZTE.rules
- the ZeroCD has been ejected, modem detected
- output attached as "etc_udev.txt"
2. The rule is located in file /lib/udev/rules.d/61-mobile-action.rules
- the ZeroCD has not been ejected, no modem
- output at
No, it has not been fixed.
The rule inserted in "61-mobile-action.rules" is correct, but doesn't do
anything, probably because it's misplaced.
Placing that same rule in any file located under /etc/udev/rules.d (i.e.
ZTE.rules) makes it work, so it's definitely a problem of precedence.

I'm experiencing the same behavior with a ZTE MF637.
If I remove /etc/resolv.conf and connect, NM will put DNS servers in it and
create another backup file. If the file exists already, it won't write the DNS
servers to it.
Should be noted that it doesn't work the first time for me, unlike the
b
+1 for moving the keyboard layouts to Ukraine, since there are 10 times more
Crimean Tatars than in Romania.
Please keep in mind that the Romanian keyboards are also meant for use in the
Republic of Moldova, where is no [known] Crimean Tatar minority.

Nope, there are no "interfaces" at this stage, and nm-modem-probe has
nothing to do with CD-ROMs.
A little background:
When ZeroCD devices are plugged in, they are not modems at all. They appear as
real CD-ROM drives, with data on them. No interfaces, no modems. USB IDs (e.g.
for ZTE MF series)
It is possible to switch Zero-CD devices automatically. For this, udev
needs a rule that sends the "eject" command to the device.
For ZTE MF6xx devices (19d2:2000 in CD-ROM mode), the following rule is
all that is needed to do mode-switching (tested in Karmic):

Karmic still doesn't switch 3G devices, because udev is missing rules
for this.

Sometimes, when I unplug the modem while it is connected to the network,
the system freezes leaving me with CapsLock and ScrollLock leds
bilnking. A hard reset is the only thing that works.

What happens when the upstream translations are not imported by Rosetta
at all? (see libk3b, ktorrent, Amarok... in Jaunty for Romanian). I
would suspect a bug in Rosetta rather than asking translators to re-
translate every message that is already translated upstream. Is there a
reason for ignorin
I have fixed the KDE translations upstream. However, some of the
translations made in Launchpad are still using the wrong symbols and it
looks silly in Kubuntu.
I think the only solution would be a server-side script that converts
these characters automagically, at least for the translations made

window-manager's fault that it does not know how to handle large windows. There
is no way that application developers could know what screen resolution are you
