Same here. I have a laptop with 16:10 ratio. It has 1366x768 resolution.
Also it has an ATi HD Mobility Radeon 5470.
With or without proprietary drivers, It still looks like sh*t.

You don't understand. The system doesn't start the graphical server at
all. It just freezes. Not even CTRL+1 or CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't work. This
affects me in BETA 2.
I have tested Lucid RC and it seems to work just fine. I mean ...
everything works ... even compiz (wow). I haven't had compiz

I have returned to report that Karmic works flawlessly on my machine
now. I did a full install, updated to the latest packages and everything
seems to be fine. The only problem left is that there is no 3D
Acceleration. So no Compiz Eye-Candy. Maybe someone could help me here,
because I know that
Another feedback.
Karmic Beta doesn't work. I am hoping that the RC will.
To my surprise, I had booted up Sabayon 5.0 KDE and it worked. I also
tried Kubuntu Karmin Beta and it didn't work.

I have an old computer with an ATi Radeon 9600 XT on it.
