Yes, I confirm that the existence of the line below:
run_im xim
in the file ~/.xinputrc causes the problem... tested in my notebook. If
I put "ibus" instead of "xim", and log out/in again, the problem
disappears.

I have a notebook and desktop running Ubuntu 16.10 with Unity... in both
machines the gnome-calculator shows a transparent formula entry box.
Installing the new version 2.23.4 solved the issue in the notebook but not in
the desktop.

Is the numeric/formula entry text box transparent in 3.23.4 (as showed

In my machines (3) the same bug occurs and it doesn't matter if I use
calculator key or Unity Dash. It happens either way.

today, after running apt-get autoremove, which removed old linux-image kernel
(lost the version when rebooting to test upstream kernel), and upgrading
php-cli, my iphone was mounted. But, in ubuntu 14.04 there was two different
mounts: one with directories like "AirFair" and "DCIM"... and anothe
