Hi all, I seem to also be affected. I know that I used to have no problems with the enclosure (lsusb details below), but nowadays in Ubuntu I get the errors. Searching google for 14cd:6116 gives several error reports from different distributions etc., also it looks similar to launchpad bug

Hi guys just to clarify, it was not me who found out about disable_hw_scan=0, but the guy who let me know about it wanted to remain anonymous. Anyways, I am glad it helps. Btw, I removed network-manager completely and replaced it by wicd, did not see a single Microcode SW error detected.

configuring the iwl3945 module with disable_hw_scan=0 fixes the speed regression problem for me on 3.0.0 but i still see the Microcode SW error detected. Restarting 0x8208. problem, in regular intervals, either 40 or 100 or 120 seconds anyone still affected by the speed regression, try

Hi Jeremy, As I am having the issue with my fathers laptop I can not regularly test it. Though, it is becoming more and more obvious that it may also be a hardware issue, since I have observed behaviour where from one booting to the next sound stoped or started working, nothing else changed.
