Enough of that nonsense. I will just buy my nephew a new sifi usb stick
instead of hacking a buggy system. which one works out of the box? I'm
sick of this.
See my report -> http://blog.karroum.dyndns.org/andreas/2008/12/22/how-
to-upgrade-from-ubuntu-804-hardy-heron-to-810-intrepid-ibex-without-
ah, that was a mental connection I have not made before. Since this is a
kernal module, it is gone with a new kernel. this explains, why me
nephew's pc cannot connect to the net anymore and also hints that
everything should be fine, when I just upgrade to the latest ubuntu.
thanks :)

are there any instructions how to upgrade to intrepid with this manual
patch installed? will a "sudo make uninstall" work, before installing
from a fresh ISO Image?

Hi,
this is nuts! A regression from a previously perfectly working fine
piece of hardware. And a patch that can only be applied if you are
connected with the internet!
The good news is that the patch by nils

Ok, now I understand. I think I produced the PDF after I changed to ODS
after loading and made the 'L' Arial again. Otherwise I assume my pdf
will look the same as yours.
Is there already an estimate when the next upload will happen. Do I get
the fix automatically or is there a way to get it earli
Hi Chris,
please look at the bitmap that I've attached and compare the cell A2. In
OOO it shows a greek symbol instead of an uppercase 'L'. The PDF shows
it correctly.

unable to mix fonts in a single cel
The Cell A1 is indeed rendered correctly, but A2 is not, also not in
your screenshot. Compare the output to the PDF and you see the
difference. The first character in A2 should be an uppercase 'L' in
Arial.
It's apparently already fixed in the trunk and 2.4 build. Can that

It's not even a printer specific setting, it's a print job specific
setting. There might be a default per printer, but I would like to
change it for a print job when I feed paper manually to print on
envelopes or index cards for example.

After upgrading to Ubuntu 8.04 I have problems loading existing ods

Hi,
just wanted to confirm that the workaround posted by evilspy (increasing

@wodz
Could you please write some instructions how to do that? I think there
are many, many people currently out there, who would like to use RT
based cards and sticks with WPA, and the rt2x00 drivers are the only
solution to that.
