As far as I remember, timidity startup options were set incorrectly in
/etc/init.d/timidity (not sure what is the name of the script).
Trying startup options such as:
OPTIONS=”-iA -Os”
loads timidity properly (opening alsa sequencert port as a virtual midi card)
and it works with pcm output to Pu
