If I am using Slide Transition to play long background sound like for
eg. background music, I cannot use slide transition sound effect as a
replacement for custom animation sound effect. This is just an example.
There are many useful use for Custom Animation Sound Effect.

I thought I have made a very clear bug report. Please do read it. The
problem is with CUSTOM ANIMATION not SLIDE TRANSITION. I referred to
APERT as just an example, please sample other sounds also.
Note: I have tried example.odp. You did not use CUSTOM ANIMATION but use
SLIDE TRANSITION instead. C
Oh I forgot to mention. I am using Natty 11.04.

proper lib can playback properly but gxine failed in every attempt. I
don't think this is a bug but at least make OGG multimedia able to be
played on Xubuntu.

Installing "Multimedia Codecs" provided by Automatix2. install libraries
needed for multimedia SOLVED the problem. Gxine still cannot playback
the video BUT TOTEM CAN! No more intermittent log out. BUT compares to
Ubuntu, Xubuntu Totem video playback lags a lot. It feels so 'heavy'.

Before this I have tried Ubuntu 7.04 LiveCD installation, Totem plays
without any problem. I think it uses xine as I have to install libxine-
extracodecs to playback MP3. Same here with gxine. On the same machine
using VMware, Ubuntu Totem plays video without any glitch.

I am using xubuntu mainly for work. So gxine playing mp3 in the
background is a added comfort. Up till now most the website I am
visiting for my work uses flash so I hope I do not encounter the need of

tried output-ing the gxine running in the terminal as below.

I have since deleted the LiveCD Xubuntu 7.04 installation as gxine is
giving me the said problem. I have tried reinstalling for 3 times before
I gave up and downloaded the alternative iso.
I think in the vmware environment, my computer hardware may not be that

I have decided to download and install Xubuntu 7.04 alternate.
In this installation I tried using the OEM installation, Gxine behave
well except for the discolour and slow playback of the sample Mr Mandela
short clip.
I guess the LiveCD Xubuntu is bug bitten.

The first thing in my mind after facing the problem is to go to the
Xubuntu homepage and trail to the download section. Just to look for any
hint about installation problem. Of course there aren't any. I am
basically left clueless.
