I upgraded to Karmic, and it's working now, so I don't know if that
patch is applied in Karmic or something else fixed it.

So I want bluetooth disabled on startup for power saving, and Nick's fix
works!
pv's idea didn't help nor did adding "echo disable >
/proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth" to rc.local (although that does work from a
command-line).

thinkpad bluetooth hotkey fn+F5 regression

Oops, my problem may be something different. As explained in my next
post in that thread, the difference I am seeing actually has to do with
a text-shadow being applied (which FF 3.0 doesn't support). So the text
actually IS supposed to be darker (but I still don't think that should
make it jagge
I'm seeing this with 3.5.2+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1 as well.
Workarounds helped but bold fonts are still too dark and ugly. Menu is
fine and matches other desktop apps; it's just the content area that is
messed up.
See the screenshots in my post here:

Why is this bug marked invalid? At the very least the duplicate Alt-C
mnemonic brought up is a bug. Also, I agree with a "dont ask again" or
have the option be settable in the profile. Actually, I don't mind
using gconf-editor, but I can never remember to check there...

If it's too difficult to update nm-system-settings in Intrepid then why
not settle for my one-line patch (for Intrepid). Yeah, it's not the
correct fix, but I doubt it will cause any harm either.

I tracked down when it was fixed upstream. See comment #13 in the
upstream bug. (It was fixed on Nov 12th in commit e4ae149...)
So you may want to undo my patch and apply this change instead, since it
fixes the underlying problem.

Network Manager fails to connect to a system stored network
FYI, the bug no longer exists upstream (which does not have my patch).
Please see comment #12 on the upstream bug:

The real problem was nm-system-settings returning non-null zero-length
secrets over dbus (secrets that should not have been returned
I would but I actually don't have any experience in creating deb
packages.
