I'd say this is a problem with Opera, it just throws a filename at evince, complete with any spaces, without quoting it.
This thread on the Opera forums seems to suggest it was fixed at the time, so it may be a regression: http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=293911 .
