just testing ubuntu 18.04 beta 2 and have this exact same problem.
removing and reloading the r8169 module fixes the problem, but i think
it's a serious bug if networking is completely lost on every system

most users will not troubleshoot enough or be able to unload/reload
drivers,
i'm also now getting this problem on a 13.04 system since todays updates
which included some qt libraries...

yes i already reported above that this was fixed with the new lowlatency
headers and the bug could be closed.

this bug wasn't a duplicate, since as i pointed out the regular kernel
headers built the virtualbox modules just fine and it only affected the
lowlatency headers.
in any case today my lowlatency headers were

ok. after messing around trying to find a working browser to download it

@Anthony yep, thanks. thought i only had a link to the page though not
the full url to the package. ;) anyway got it with konqueror in the end
since rekonq wouldn't work either.
looks like this is in hand now. excellent.
it's exciting, release is so close now! :)

well, thanks for trying. ;)
it's not the end of the world for me personally but it sure looks ugly
and has poor usability... will the issue get pushed upstream then?
as for other thunderbird themes, that was why i first posted this bug
against xubuntu artwork, since i use xubuntu and one place
confirmed fixed for unity greeter after latest software updates.
when will it be fixed for the gtk-greeter that xubuntu is apparently
using?

lightdm *does not* remember the last
ok Simon, glad to know it's known and in hand.
if 'radiance' is the unity default theme, then the reason it would work
there is because that has a very dark toolbar background, meaning the
white icons have decent contrast.
however on the light grey background of the default xubuntu theme the

this is not complaining but quite pertinent information: ...the 1.9

so, it is getting done? Martin was asking about 2.0 above, since then
there have been a couple of point point releases and a full point
same happens here.
also changing 'minimum-uid' in /etc/lightdm/users.conf has no effect
either.

what's more you can't even use 'minimum-uid' or 'hidden-users' in

please update this package for 11.10.
