tried to recreate the problem by generating the file from scratch and I

I think you want to turn the radio ON. The kill switch turns the radio
OFF to save battery life. There should be a button to turn wireless on
and off on your notebook. Just push it into the other position and it
should enable wireless (assuming the switch isn't broken).

I am using KDE 3.80.1-0ubuntu4 and Kubuntu kubuntu-desktop. I started
kmail from the command line and noticed the following line on the
console for each character I typed:
/bin/sh: kvim: not found
I don't see a kvim or vim-kde package in the Synaptic package manager.
