After further testing I find the following in the logs at the
approximate time of crash:

mouse. Haven't tried wireless mouse. Fresh install yesterday. Gnome
3.36.1. Haven't yet found a culprit but I do have Chrome installed.

This bug is present in Pangolin as well. It is intermittent and I have
not been able to figure out how to reproduce it but I believe it only
happens when the screen locks after timeout rather than when I lock the

Extreme Tux Racer changes the display setup...mergest the displays and
leaves it that way after it completes. I have them set up as extended
displays (two) and most other progs put it back the way it was when they
quit.
