I'm having the same issue. The problem seems to be the grub
configuration is pointing to the wrong filename. It's trying to load
/casper/vmlinuz.efi.signed which isn't in the disc image. By editing the
boot options to use /casper/vmlinuz I was able to boot successfully
without modifying the image.

I upgraded to Gutsy over the weekend and it works fine for me. I'm
using evo 2.12.0 and gnome-pilot applet 2.0.15. I was able to sync
both calendar and todo list items across.
I did get a few fatal exceptions on my m515 and had to reset; however,
I suspect that may be caused by hardware. Will

After manually applying this patch I successfully synchronized my todo
list.

I'm also having the same problem with my Palm m515. Used to work fine.
I'm not sure what changed. Attached is the gpilotd log. Is there any way
to get more useful information than gpilotd-WARNING **: Synchronization
failed!?
