We are seeing errors very similar to this:
can't create /var/tmp/cloud-init/cloud-init-.../dhcp.leases: No such
file or directory
The /var/tmp/cloud-init has been created, world writable.
Started seeing the errors a few days after the fix was released - around
5th December.

Same problem happens to me also it raise the window below the front opened one
i have to highlight the front window first so i can change the size or click
it's contents

The procedure in #59 helped my problem - I was having the same issues,
DNS lookup was delayed horribly under Karmic but was spot-on under
Jaunty.

Had the same thing just happen, message is pretty much the same as
initial report.

I am having similar issues as the previous commenter (garbled orange
screen as opposed to black screen), but with a different video chipset,
an ATI Radeon Mobility U1. The ctrl-alt-f(1-6) combinations give me
nothing but a garbled screen, and I have to use ctrl-alt-f7 to get back
to X.
