Hi David,
I upgraded from Ubuntu 11.10 to ubuntu 12.04 Beta2. My recording device
was set to internal microphone before I had upgraded. After the upgrade,
I noticed that my skype test call came back with no audio recorded.
Initially, I thought that the microphone was not working but later on

Resolved the issue. Its is not a bug actually. I noticed that, in the
sound setting-input the recording device was set to Line-in instead of
microphone. It could be a feature issue. My recording device was set to
internal microphone before I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 Beta2.

Yes, its still an issue. The problem started only after i activated the
Nvidia drivers.
