I am facing the same problem with my Reliance BB device - C168c (CE0682) in
Lucid (10.04 LTS).
was it not fixed yet?

sudhakar, for ur Ethernet problems, better file a separate bug, this bug is
related to audio. better not mix two things..

Recently i haven't seen this issue on my system when suspend/resume several
instances in last few months.
I can try with the latest kernel when i get time :) For the time being this
bug can be lowered priority or can be closed.

at last it works for me :)
Fololwed the steps below, and upgraded -
network-manager and network-manager-gnome packages. Then i could add my WBB
connection without any errors and could connect to the net as before.

Unfortunately i got both problems :-(
I am using Huawei modem. Let me check after updating all the packages if i
connect thru network manager applet.
However still the editing problem exists(the original problem).

so i am still relying on 'sudo wvdial'. And it connects immediately.
I am happy that i can connect to internet , but i want to connect thru
