You are not expecting composited toplevel windows to appear magically.
You expect a compositing manager to do this. Just like this, you'd have
to implement a compositing manager inside your application/toolkit if
you want subwindows to be properly composed.

Well it's quite easy. You need to have two Jabber accounts having
different default conference servers: jabber.org and google talk both
use conference.jabber.org, but you can try jabber.belnet.be (they seem
to have their own conference server).
The you do this:
1. Open the Buddy List Window
2. Mai

I think the index is broken, because this doesn't only happen on the
table part. If you start by docbook.html you'll see that the
table.element.html is properly linked from other parts.
