Hi all, The following solution worked for me
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa
uname -r
(This gave '2.6.32-24-generic' for me. You check yours and use it in the
following line )
linux-alsa-driver-modules-2.6.32-24-generic
Now Restart

Hello all,
I'm facing the same issue since I installed Jaunty. I've installed all
the necessary drivers and plugins that it has prompted me to download;
but no luck.
I've also followed the suggestion given in this link:
