re John Haitas - request to attach a movie clip
The problem is the same for ALL movie clips of ALL types. We have tested this
on multiple devices - both server and desktop edition. It is true for both
fresh installs on a new machine as well as upgrade installs.
All the movie clips tested work f
All movie clips (.wmv , .mpg ) played without problem using Mplayer in Ubuntu
8.04 and 8.10
After upgrade to 9.04 no movie clips played.
Mplayer would briefly open and then close spontaneously after about 1 second.
No error message would be reported.
The behaviour was consistent and reproducible
Solved it we hope! Dump Nautilus; use Konqueror.

We use SFTP for managing multiple websites. This is a total pain and is
making Ubuntu unusable in our core business. The bug seems to have been
in Ubuntu since January 2006 - surely there must be a fix for this
critical bug by now??? Nautilus is still consuming 100% of CPU even
after a cold re-boo
