Lightdm is still running. I can login, switch user sessions, etc..
The only thing that appears to not function is the ability to shutdown
or reboot the computer.
I will run the ck-list-sessions command as soon as I have another
reproduction (this is intermittent).

Intermittently I cannot reboot/restart from lightdm or from the
"Shutdown..." menu on the Unity panel.
Unlike bug #984163m, I have not installed gnome-shell and I am running
unity-2d.
I tailed the syslog and logs in /var/log/lightdm and the only thing I
saw when I attempted
I still don't quite follows what the workflow is supposed to be here.
The system detects a crash. The system asks for permission to send an
error report to help fix the problem.. and then the system tells me I
should be using technical support channels "instead of this tool".
If the system wants
The workaround in comment #4 worked for me.
Could the quickly tool set up the environment automatically before
launching the debugger?

One workaround: I was able to 'apt-get install psychonauts' to
workaround the issue. This command was run after trying to install via
software-center.
I noticed that the 'apt-get update' ran quite slowly for some of the
private PPAs. Were there any issues with the Canonical repos last
night?

I just installed Bastion, and I am now trying to install Psychonauts.

I upgraded to 1.17.3 and did both an "Update Index" and a full "Rebuild
Index" without issue. The process fully scanned my .thunderbird
directory and I see the messages in search results.

I get this issue consistently w/ Unity-3D. I just tried this with
Unity-2D and did not see the problem.
To reproduce I simply open any app (LO Writer, gedit) and hit Control-O
to open a file. With Unity-3D, the dialog pops up on my other
(secondary) monitor. With Unity 2D, the dialog opens up
bug #17081 was closed due to the GNOME3 transition. The upstream bug
was closed for the same reason.
Is there a GNOME3 version of this bug report?
This seems like a good papercut.

Interesting, I have to machines running 12.04. On one Firefox is the
Default Application for files of type "HTML document" and Chromium shows
up as a Recommended Application.
On the other, Chromium is the Default and Firefox is Recommended.
Does/should the "Default Applications" control panel
Same thing. File opens in Firefox. Some how the handler for the .html
file type didn't get set up correctly to use Chromium?

The issue was fully reproducible in the GUI and always seemed to crash
in the same place. I worked around it by excluding the .thunderbird
