This affects me too, using Kubuntu 13.10 using both the 3.11.0-14-generic kernel on my Acer Aspire E1-572. There are times when I can stay connected for more than 20 minutes without problem but most of the times I am dropped from eduroam within 1 - 5 minutes. Android smartphone is connecting
