Here's the log. I ran it like this, so I could also see the pulseaudio
log interspersed with the output of my test program:

Thanks, I'm already in that IRC channel and also posted the upstream bug
after an IRC user said it was also present in Fedora 14.
Anyway I think the logging is a dead end, since there is no log activity

after unchecking some options and restart banshee hangs and d´not
function any more

This really needs to be fixed in Lucid as it doesn't work when
installing the standard versions of git-core and guilt. Breakage from
the outset. only way to get guilt is to compile it from source.

I have the same bug but when I added autospawn=no to
/etc/pulse/client.conf then pulseaudio crashes and doesn't come back and
it solves the problem.
However certain games and apps can't play sound now. And if I start
pulseaudio manually I get that error message on the console where
pulseaudio is

Perhaps something went wrong with the upgrade from karmic to lucid.
Recently I did a fresh install on my computer. I've tested again, and
