I get sound out of the line-out jack, but it's very soft.

I recently installed Feisty, then with Kernel 2.6.20-12-generic and
sound worked OK. Today I updated Feisty and I got Kernel
2.6.20-14-generic and my laptop-speakers stopped working. I still get
sound out of the headphone output.
I tried the different options available in /et
I stopped using Sylpheed because of this, but as far as I can remember I
quit Sylpheed properly before rebooting.

I have the same problem on Edgy. The remote desktop session seems to be
working fine, accept when closing I get that message. After that
"Terminal Server Client" wants to try to reconnect to the server within
30 seconds.
