I did a clean install of lucid. The first thing I did was to open KAddressBook
and create a new addressbook. Now Akonadi and Kmail and Kontact; et al are
working fine. I haven't yet figured how to fix this on my other box (upgraded
from karmic); trying to avoid install.

It appears that update-manager-kde will NOT update to 9.10. I think its
just for KDE packages.
"update-manager -d" works just fine from shell and sudo of course.

Just and FYI
Upgrading from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10. Should state "update-manager-kde
-d", "update-manager -d" is gnome.
