Binary package hint: kdm
I was deinstalling kdm, including the configuration, along with a lot of

Just a note for other people that read this. I had the same problem
described here on Ubuntu 10.10 beta, and also thought it must be some
CPU scaling problem, but like Oliver it turned out to be a GPU scaling
issue (running glxgears made it go away).
I have found the easiest way to fix this is to

This wasn't a bug we could fix in The Mana World but rather a bug in
SDL. An updated SDL package has been released as libsdl1.2 -

It's unfortunately not a regression, this bug has never really been
fixed. Unless the addition of some hidden gconf key is considered a fix.
The control to set the blinking behaviour was never added back.

Sync guichan 0.8.2-1 (universe) from Debian unstable
Public bug reported:
Please sync guichan 0.8.2-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main).
0.8.2 should be binary and source compatible with 0.8.1 (tested with tmw

* TabbedArea::isOpaque and TabbedArea::setOpaque
Note that Hardy used libguichan2 0.7.1-1, while any The Mana World
version after 0.0.24.1 needs Guichan 0.8. So in order to backport this
version of The Mana World, libguichan-0.8.1-1 and libguichan-sdl-0.8.1-1
will need to be packported too.
