Some systems BIOS do not support FAT32 and fail to boot from USB disks created
with Startup Disk Creator.
A work around is to preformat the USB disk with FAT16 and then use Disk Creator.

Just confirmed it is not an issue in gnucash alone.
There is a "feature"/bug on tomboy notes that allows this issue to be
reproduced in Precise Pangolin 12.04:
- Open tomboy and create a note
- Replace the title for "a_b"
- Close the note
- Open the tomboy indicator menu to see that the entry for
Commpilled from source in 11.10 and it works ok.
So the issue is a combinatoin of Ubuntu 12.04, running Unity and any version of
gnucash 2.4.
It looks like an issue in the new version Unity

Just tested with 11.04, the installer does not crash at this point, didn't went
thru the full instalation.
Later I will downlaod and try a 11.10 clean install and an alternate install CD
of 12.04

I went a bit further and tried hibernate. If I hibernate closing the lid it's
even more strange:
I boot, I can see the normal console messages then the backlight goes off. I
hit the key combination to change the brightness and I have backlight again.

I suspended the machine, got back, and the connection worked
I hibernated, turned it on again... the connection didn't work, tried to
reconnect, disabled the account, enabled it gain: "network error"
then I ran killall telepathy-butterfly and everything worked.

Just updated my ATI drivers and still get a MessageBox with no title, as some
have said it before it looks unprofessional.
