I was also bit by this bug these days.  The fact that the swap works
well makes it very deceptive.  I checked BIOS, Grub, Kernel problems,
etc.  If the rule of "Don't repeat yourself" cannot be obeyed here, a
auto-sync mechanism should be put in place.

To those who were trying to resolve the issue: don't forget to run
"update-initramfs -k all -u" after updating /etc/initramfs-
tools/conf.d/resume with the correct UUID.
