Same here with GeForce 8500GT (driver activated but not currently in
use). Clean install of 11.04 tried with both 173 and current:
- /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce 8500 GT/PCI/SSE2

I just had this problem return following upgrade from Lucid to Maverick
beta. Is there any info I can provide to help?
It occurred shortly after login but didn't seem to be triggered by any
sort of user interaction. There's nothing else in the logs within
around the same time.

Since upgrading to Lucid I usually get this bug occur shortly after
logging in after starting system. It occasionally happens after the
system has been running for a while too but can't identify the trigger.
Happy to help trace/debug this but I'm a bit of a Linux n00b so don't
know where to start
I can confirm this bug in upgrade from Karmic to Lucid beta.
As a workaround manual removal of 'gobject-introspection-repository' and
re-installation of 'gir1.0-clutter-1.0' fixes the problem.

I can confirm this bug.
I've had the same problem under same circumstances (upgrade from Karmic
to Lucid beta). Can also confirm that the suggested fix removes the
problem.
