I think I may have had an old link laying around in my /etc/rcS.d dir
for alsa-utils. That may have been my problem as purging the alsa-utils
package and reinstalling has not replaced the link in rcS.d.

Although I'd add the '--local-port 0' option to ensure the respawned
vpnc doesn't fail due to port already in use problems. I'm using the

anything, you can't select anything else whilst the tool-tip is still

This is easily visible if you hover over a application menu item, wait
