I can confim this bug as well. Multimedia buttons and volume buttons do
not work while any menu pulldown is selected.

I actually got mine to work using res-applet. It detected the modes
properly, let me set the mode, and then I could open
gnome-display-properties.

External display at1920x1200 and internal display at 1280x800. When I
