even get to gdm3 login screen, as i uninstall xorg drivers a long time ago..
Had to install the back, to get back to the desktop.
Just tried it out locally and rebuild the mutter package, worked like a
charm.

I suspect a wrong apparmor rule, but can´t tell.

On line ~ 964 in the file radeontool.c the framebuffer is mapped via
"pci_device_map_region(avivo_device, fb_region, 1)" this operation
returns a EAGAIN (error code 11), which is generated by the
libpciaccess. The Frambuffer Region is found correctly (in radeontool,
avivotool
and the good regdump with fglrx driver

Ok had to hack this a littlebit.. The devias regions for ctrl_region and
fb_region.. fb_region isn´t found correctly i think. The latest region
in the regions table of my pci device is 1024x1024 big so i hardcoded to
map the fb to this adress, no i get some output which looks correct...

source and get it compiled from there, so i can have debug symbols and
fix the bug (if possible)

I switched to the xorg-edgers repository, but the problem still persists...

i have the same problem starting from today. Seems like PulseAudio isn´t
detecting the ALSA Device.. i don´t know why, because the alsa device is
present and not in use.. if i load the alsa module via default.pa audio
works, but only for 1 ALSA Card.. Autodetection doesn´t work at all (for
ALL card
The blaack Screen Problem only happens with lightdm, with gdm shortly a
mousepointer is visible but then returns to console back to Xorg three
times to finally land on console. So this is still a Xorg problem i
think.

After updating the package, Xorg starts with no problems in the logfile, but
the screen is dark.
I think this is a problem with the "radeon" kernel module, because there is a
very weird resolution detected "Setting screen physical size to 508 x 285" in
Xorg.0.log

wow this bug is really nasty for not so experienced users, because they
get "locked out" of their system, but they shouldn´t install oneiric in
devstages either... Hope this patch gets distributed to the mirrors
soon.

all appindicators which are created by apps dynamically aren´t shown.
I have tested this with two applications. X-Chat and Syncany. I know that
syncany uses the python bindings for appinidicator. Think this is a Problem
