I just had this exact crash problem. But it looks like one workaround would be
to uninstall completely the package, and reinstall it. At least, that worked
for me.
Maybe the minimal workaround would be to delete the configuration files, I
didn't try.

I just checked the glx-dock.org repository, and all the packages are at the
"2.1.3-10-lucid" version. So upgrading your package manager should solve the
problem.

not as up-to-date as the cairo-dock package.
Which version are you using ? ppa ? regular glx-dock.org repository
Could you try to refresh your update-manager and see if there isn't an
update available for cairo-dock-plugins
I confirm, the code is using the MIME association... However it is true that
using xdg-open would also make sense. Anyway, with a properly configured
system, it should open the folder using Nautilus... I'll check that, as I'm
using Xfce+Cairo-dock for developping.
