I'm was also having random segfaults in multiple apps on my laptop install of Edgy. Dapper was fine and the crashes showed up nearly immediately. I'm not totally sure if the issue is fixed now or not as I haven't been using my laptop recently, but it did seem to improve a few weeks back. --
